My Favorite Game

by Steven LeDrew

All kinds of video game systems, like the Sony Playstation Portable and the Microsoft Xbox 360, have released some excellent video games. There are great fantasy games, sports games, military games and everything in between. Combine that with some of the music featured in today's video games, which wouldn't sound out of place on an iPod Nano.

A video game that I enjoy playing over and over again is one for the Playstation and the Sony Playstation Portable called Medievil.

There is something about this game that's really intriguing and addicting at the same time. You take on the role of Sir Daniel Fortesque, and you are dead. However, through the magic of Playstation Portable video game technology, you come back to life to defeat the evil wizard once and for all. It's a simple premise that has been seen and played on many video game platforms, from Nintendo to the Microsoft Xbox 360. For some reason, though, Medievil is a great game to play for the Sony Playstation Portable and for the original Sony Playstation.

This game is loaded with everything. The music, which is definitely iPod Nano worthy, is never boring, repetitive or dull. Each part of the soundtrack corresponds beautifully with each unique level and area of the game, so that rather than playing a video game, you feel like your actually watching a spooky, scary and gothic movie - with you as the star! The voice work and graphics are some of the best that you'll experience and play on the Sony PSP.

There are many big time and big name video games that get all of the hype and the press. And, for the most part, the attention is well deserved, as the more popular games are often some of the best and most innovative titles ever created. Sometimes, a smaller game gets released that becomes a total and must-have game. For me, Sony really hit a home run by releasing Medievil, and now that's it's available on the Sony PSP, it's even better than ever!
