Flowmaster Provides Excellent Performance And Sound To Your Mustang

by Tom S Powers

Maybe you are familiar with the Flowmaster, a brand of Mustang exhaust muffler. If this brand is new to you, you will find that the roots of the Flowmaster company are most interesting. Beginning in 1983, on California race tracks, the drivers were informed that their cars produce too much noise. They were told that they had to find a way to lower the noise that their engines made on the race track, or they they would not be allowed to race anymore.

The founder of the company, Ray Flugger, had over 45 years of experience with designing exhaust and Mustang header systems. Ray was able to design a new Mustang exhaust system that finally worked to silence the engine, without reducing any of the machine's performance and racing capabilities.

Ray Flugger's designs are still in use today, and he still works at the head of the Flowmaster company, overseeing new and exciting designs for more modern engines. Today, the company also makes a variety of Mustang headers. These help to intake more air into the engine of the machine, allowing more power to be output from the engine.

No matter where you are driving your Mustang -- locally, on long distance trips, or even on a race track -- you want your engine to work at its optimal efficiency. Maintaining a clean engine that operates efficiently will extend the life of any vehicle, and will save a Mustang owner a great deal of money over the life of the car.

Maintaining the silence and efficiency of the machine is vital as well for the exhaust system of the Mustang. Regardless of where you reside and need to drive, a loud automobile is an annoyance to those living nearby and might lead to stiff fines by the local police if your engine is excessively noisy.

Sometimes it is hard to find brands that have already established themselves in certain industries, or a name that can be trusted when it comes to something most people pride in, which is their cars. Ray Flugger solved the problem on the racetrack that no other mechanic could solve. With using Flowmaster products to help your car's performance and sound, consumers are using a brand that is trusted and has been around for a long time, solving problems for all members of the Mustang community.

The Flowmaster brand of mufflers began, in 1983, because racers were told to quiet their vehicles, or discontinue racing. Ray Flugger put 45 years experience in the field to use, founding the company. He created a new Mustang Exhaust system that allows the engine to run more quietly without affecting the car's racing and performance capability. The company also makes Mustang Headers, which impart a greater quantity of air into the machine's engine, letting the engine produce greater power; at its optimal efficiency. Maintaining a clean engine that operates efficiently will extend a vehicle's life. Ray's styles continue, and he remains in charge of the business.
