Bike Magazines - Great Gift Idea

by Menlo Lippowski

With the holidays coming up, it's always difficult to get a gift list ready. But if you have an avid bicyclist you want to shop for, your problems are solved! The sport of bicycling has exploded in recent years, and with it have come numerous new products. So now there are more options than ever available for that special cyclist in your life. Check out these hot gift ideas for cyclists:

Two-way radios are an excellent resource for cyclists. For group trips, they provide an excellent way for group members to stay in contact with each other. For lone cyclists, on the other hand, they provide an important safety tool, allowing them to contact - or be contacted by - a friend or spouse at home in the case of an emergency.

A high-end bicycle seat can be a fantastic present for any cyclist. It has recently been found that blood flow, especially to the groin, can be restricted by traditional hard bicycle seats, which can pose a danger to health and reproduction, especially for men. A saddle or wedge type seat not only helps to lessen these potential health risks, but makes cycling more comfortable as well.

Magazine subscriptions: One or two subscriptions to bike magazines would be great for the beginner or advanced cyclist. They feature inspiring stories, interviews with celebrated cyclists, and reviews of the latest equipment. They also offer guides to popular rides and competitions. Bike magazines are a wonderful gift for the cyclist in your life.

Gift Certificate: Just can't seem to decide what you want to get your cyclist? Why not have him or her choose for themselves? Simply give them a gift certificate to a local cycling shop. They'll be sure to find that special something they were wanting, whether it's biking gear or a bicycling magazine,. And they'll be able to decide with your thoughtful gift.

Whether the cyclist in your life is 12 or 85, whether he seems to have everything under the sun or he is just starting out, there are some simple gift ideas that really cannot go wrong. Just remember that if you don't know much about your cyclist's gear or bike, you may want to stick to a gift certificate or bike magazines, just to be certain.

There are many things you can get for the cyclist on your list. Magazine subscriptions are always popular. A subscription to a bicycling magazine is appropriate for any age rider on your list. Bike magazines are family friendly, and contain quite a bit of information that your cyclist would enjoy. Other options include two way radios, high end bicycle seats, or other accessories, and gift certificates for the local cyclist shop. Shopping for your cyclist doesn't have to be challenging. Even if you aren't familiar with cycling, these are gifts that would be appreciated.
